Dr. Mitchell Brien

Dr. Brien was born and raised in Houma, Louisiana. He did his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University before attending Texas Chiropractic College. He opened his clinic in Luling, Louisiana in 2000 and has been providing the Westbank and Tri-Parish area clients with superior chiropractic care. He specializes in neck and back pain, but is also successful in treating all types of muscular and joint problems. He has done extensive study in motor vehicle collision injuries as well as sports injuries. He uses a diversified approach for his patients which includes referrals to other healthcare providers in the medical community when necessary. He believes that this approach is the best possible way to return his patients to a quality lifestyle as quickly as possible. He maintains a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise and is happy to assist patients in their quest for a similar lifestyle.

He married his wife Stephanie in 1998 and was blessed with two children, Hannah and Braxton. He enjoys quality time with his family and is an avid outdoorsman. He has been a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana since 2000.


Dr. Matthew Ellender

Matthew Ellender, D.C. is a 2009 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College, where he received a Doctorate in Chiropractic and Bachelors in Human Biology. At TCC, he was an active member and served on the board of the Council on Sports Injury, Student Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, and Student American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ellender participated in an internship at Rice University that involved injury prevention and rehabilitation for their student athletes.

Dr. Ellender continues his active membership in the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the American Chiropractic Association. He is certified in Kinesiotaping, Graston Technique, and Manipulation Under Anesthesia. Dr. Ellender has completed numerous hours toward the Academy of Industrial Injury Management, which takes a new approach to early recognition and treatment that focuses on the biopsychosocial issues that may hinder a worker from returning to work.

Dr. Ellender practices in a multidisciplary clinic, Brien Chiropractic Clinic, in Luling. Dr. Ellender takes a patient-centered approach to treatment, which encourages the patient to become an active participant in the treatment of their condition. The treatment is complemented with an evidence-based rehabilitation program that will help guide the patient toward their pre-injury functional goals.


Cami Champagne, LMT 

Cami has over 16 years of massage therapy experience and is the former owner and operator of Luling’s Adam and Eve Day Spa. She joined Brien Chiropractic Clinic in August 2015 and specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal and Infant Massage. Cami ensures her patients’ massage goals are a priority whether it be relaxation or easing pain and discomfort.

Born in Luling, she has stayed close to home. She attended Nichols State University after which she pursued her massage therapy license at Blue Cliff College, graduating with honors.


Teri Kennedy, LMT

Teri Kennedy joined the Brien Chiropractic team in February 2016 and is excited to provide care to the St. Charles Parish community. She specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal and Infant Massage. She takes patient’s pain into consideration and modifies the modalities performed to best aid in the progressive health of the patient. Her caring touch is sure to melt your stress away.

Teri studied massage therapy at Blue Cliff College and graduated with honors in 2007. She also attended Nicholls State University to advance her knowledge of the muscular system in 2005-2006. Teri also worked with Dr. Lisa Alevizon of Holistic Health Medical Center in Houma, LA from 2009-2011.

Teri is originally from Schriever, LA, but has been a resident of St. Charles Parish since 2007. She lives in Paradis with her husband and son.
